Vice minister Mike Evaniuck, formation director Joanne Jacovec, and formation team member Frank Peluso welcomed the new inquirers at a ceremony at St. Michael the Archangel Trinity Center in Cary.  New inquirers are Lee Cunningham, Ellen Ferrone, Michael Hancock, Lynn Oeser, Chris Peffley, Susan Stamey and Laurie Wilburn.

New CouncilNew members were elected to the Padre Pio Fraternity Council on Sept. 28, 2014. From left to right, they are: Councilors Ida Irwin and Frank Peluso; treasurer, Sharon Winzeler; vice minister, Mike Evanuick; spiritual director, Father Doug Reed; minister, Stan Driscoll;  secretary, Maureen Copan; formation director, Joanne Jacovec; and councilor, Suzie Nelson.  Presiding over the election was Marie Stephan, Area 3 Councilor.

 

 


Newly Professed Members

Newly Professed Secular Franciscans 2014Five Secular Franciscans professed their lifelong commitment to the OFS rule on Saturday, July 12, 2014, in the St. Mary of the Angels Chapel at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Raleigh, in a Mass officiated by Father David McBriar, OFM, and Father Joseph Madden, OFM Conventual.   The newly professed members are Maureen Copan, OFS; Ailen Evaniuck, OFS;  Suzie Nelson, OFS; Thomas Ryan, OFS; and Sharon Winzeler, OFS.

 

 

Stan Driscoll is welcomed to the Secular Franciscan Order by Father Douglas Reed. Five new candidates joined the Padre Pio Fraternity in a Rite of Admission on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015.

Father Douglas Reed, spiritual assistant, presided at the ceremony. Newly welcomed candidates are:  Louis Coker, OFS; Bernie Dawson, OFS; Dianne Greet,  OFS; Marie Roccoforte, OFS; and Victoria Romero, OFS.

Welcoming the candidates were minister W. Stanley Driscoll, OFS, and formation director Joanne Jacovec, OFS.
